NEWS The Call of
the Sea Still Beckons for Wendy Wendy Langdon has been running and instructing at
Start Point Sailing on both shorebased and
practical sailing courses since she took over the business in 2001. As well as being qualified to teach RYA
Practical and shorebased courses, she is now also
qualified following completion of her
PGCE to teach level 1 - 5 (age 14+) courses to youngsters as well as
adults. This means that Start Point
Sailing can now offer a GCSE sail cruising module to schools, colleges and
youth groups. If your school or group

Practices and Responsibilities Course Start Point Sailing
is one of a few schools registered to provide the new Professional Practices
and Responsibilities Course – the course is a compulsory requirement
for first time RYA Commercial Endorsement holders and for those revalidating
their certificates. NEED
TO BRUSH UP ON YOUR NAVIGATION? Why not try our new on-line RYA
Interactive courses. The RYA Essential Navigation and
Seamanship Course takes two days in the classroom or
take part on-line during your lunch hour, from home or from your yacht. You can book on line, we will then give
you a code to access the interactive site and allocate an instructor who you
can email with any problems. There are
lots of colourful interactive tasks to complete. The ideal course if you are rusty or
wanting to boost your Competent Crew or as a pre-cursor to taking the
Intensive Day Skipper course. |
